In our text this week, we see Paul, the faithful prayer warrior for the church, requesting prayer from the church. Within his request, there is much to learn about faithful declaration of The Gospel and much to learn about evangelism.
This week we will be looking at one of the most neglected events of the crucifixion narrative – the burial of Jesus. Prayerfully, as we unpack Matthew’s account, we will see both the significance and impact of His burial.
This week we arrive at the apex of redemptive history – Jesus’ substitutionary death on the cross. During our time together, we will look at the need for the cross, Jesus’ words from the cross, and the power of the cross.
Over the next five weeks we’ll examine , through the eyes of Matthew, the final hours of Jesus leading to His atoning death on the cross and His victorious resurrection from the grace starting with the betrayal and arrest of Jesus in the Garden of Gethsemane.
